Meet Mina

MINA recently arrived in the U.S. and wasted no time pursuing her dreams.  Guided by her case manager, and with some experience working in a café kitchen in Turkey, she was eager to embrace this new chapter - so she signed up for our training program. 

Thanks to our Culinary and Baking training programs with wrap-around social services and English classes, Mina found a new confidence by learning new baking techniques and improving her English.

Currently employed as a baker at Safeway- Mina hopes to gain additional training from her employer to become a pastry chef.  Her starting hourly wage of $15 reflects her dedication and potential.
